Mindfulness-Based Life Alignment (MBLA) is a one-to-one, mindfulness-based offering for people who feel the need to pause, reflect, and realign how they are living with what truly matters to them.

I created MBLA for those who are not looking for traditional life coaching or quick solutions, but for a thoughtful, grounded space in which to explore direction, meaning, and balance, particularly during times of change, uncertainty, or quiet dissatisfaction.

Mindfulness-Based Life Alignment (MBLA)

MBLA is a reflective, mindfulness-based process rather than life coaching, therapy, or performance training. I don’t give advice or tell you what you should do. Instead, I offer a calm, attentive space to help you listen more deeply to yourself and make choices that feel aligned and sustainable.

MBLA incorporates the following five main influences:

Ikigai - a Japanese concept often described as “that which gives life meaning”. In our work together, Ikigai is explored gently and realistically, helping you reconnect with what feels purposeful, sustaining, and alive in your life.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) - a well-established, evidence-based approach that supports awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience. Mindfulness here is not about self-improvement, but about developing a kinder, wiser relationship with your experience.

Compassionate Mindful Resilience (CMR) - which brings an explicit focus on compassion, nervous system awareness, and self-care. Many people know what matters to them but feel blocked by exhaustion, self-criticism, or overwhelm. CMR helps meet these difficulties with understanding rather than pressure.

Appreciative Inquiry (AI) Instead of focusing on "fixing" problems, Appreciative Inquiry invites us to look at what is already working, what is healthy, and what gives you strength. By identifying your core assets and successes, we create a positive foundation for future growth.

The GROW Coaching Model - A structured framework used to bring clarity to your Goals, the Reality of your current situation, the Options available to you, and the Will to move forward. In MBLA, this model is used mindfully to help turn inner reflections into gentle, practical steps.

Session Content

In a typical session we may explore themes such as:

  • Life direction and purpose

  • Alignment with values

  • Work-life balance and related anxiety stress

  • Transitions, identity, and life stages

  • Self-care and compassion

Mindfulness practices are introduced where helpful, always in service of insight and self-understanding.

  • One-to-one sessions

  • 60 minutes

  • Online (in person negotiable if local)

  • Offered as single sessions or as a series (fees negotiable for a series)

Rather, as they are designed to help you navigate and re-align your life with your values and purpose, they are more akin to life-coaching.
