What is the Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction Programme?
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a globally recognised, evidence-based 8-week programme developed in the late 1970s by Jon Kabat-Zinn and his team at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Grounded in mindfulness meditation and gentle movement, MBSR is designed to help individuals better manage stress and its related symptoms. Whether you’re looking to cope with specific challenges or simply enhance your overall well-being, this course offers practical tools and lasting benefits.
An optional half-day online retreat is included.
This programme is based on the new 2025 version of MBSR.
All participants will receive a comprehensive course booklet to support their learning throughout the programme.
Once registered, participants will be invited to a brief one-to-one online meeting with a course tutor. This provides a welcoming space to explore what to expect, ask any questions, and share any additional support needs.
This course is also available for groups and organisations. Please contact us to discuss tailored options.
Dates for 2026 will be announced soon.

What does the course entail?
This online, 8-week course features 1.5-2 hour sessions designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of mindfulness practice. We’ll cover everything from establishing a comfortable posture to integrating mindfulness into daily life. Each week, participants will learn new mindfulness meditation techniques, building a repertoire of practices to support their ongoing development.
During the sessions, after each meditation, there will be an opportunity to engage in an inquiry process where we can explore our experiences of the practice together. This is entirely optional, with no expectation to share. However, as the group dynamic grows, many participants find this to be a valuable and enriching part of their learning journey.
The course takes a secular approach but draws on teachings from a variety of traditions, alongside insights from current psychology and neuroscientific research. To help participants get the most out of the course, we encourage a commitment to practicing the techniques on your own for at least 5 out of 7 days each week.
On enrolment, all participants will receive a course handbook, and throughout the course, will have access to additional resources to support their practice and deepen their understanding.Course Fee
