Classes, Courses and Retreats

Guided sessions, structured courses, and retreats to enrich your mindfulness journey!

Retreats

Retreats offer an opportunity to step away from the usual day-to-day distractions and immerse yourself in mindfulness meditation. They provide a much-needed antidote to the stresses of daily life. Whether you’re new to mindfulness and looking to take your first steps, or you have some prior experience, our retreats are designed to be both calming and revitalising.

Our day retreats are held at Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre which is nestled at the northern end of Druridge Bay in Northumberland, offering a stunning setting with a view that overlooks the sea, the reserve’s serene lake, and its beautiful grounds.

Please note: The session on Saturday 3rd January 2026 at Old Low Lights will not take place due to the building being closed. This session will resume on the first Saturday of February. As an alternative, I have organised a half-day retreat in a nearby venue in Tynemouth (see above).

The session in Durham will take place on Sunday 4th January.

Courses

Attending a course is an effective way of starting your mindfulness journey, and can provide momentum to an already established mindfulness practice.

Courses also offer an opportunity to be part of a community, giving you the motivation to persist in establishing a personal practice, as well as providing the basis for further study, or even teacher training.

I offer two main courses:

  • Mindful Compassionate Resilience (CMR) 4 Week Course

  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) 8 Week Course

Both courses can be adapted for different audiences, and can be taught privately for a group or organisations. Get in touch if you wish to discuss options.

More information on MBSR can be found here.
